16) Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a skin condition that occurs due to the loss of melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing pigment. This condition leads to the development of patches on the skin, hair, and mucous membranes where color is absent. Essentially, vitiligo results in areas of the body where the natural skin color is missing, creating noticeable spots of lighter skin.
